Zoomer Radio Pet of the Week: Missy
Missy, a 4-year-old Labrador Retriever mix, is bursting with energy and ready to inject a whole lot of fun into your life! This isn’t your couch potato kind of dog. Missy thrives on activity, adventure, and anything that involves exploring the great outdoors.
Think long walks in the park, frisbee sessions that last for hours, or maybe even trying out agility courses – Missy’s up for it all! Her Labrador genes shine through with her boundless enthusiasm and eagerness to please. She’s a smart girl, quick to learn, and always happy to show off her latest tricks (or learn a few new ones!).
But don’t let all that energy fool you. Beneath that playful exterior lies a sweet and affectionate companion. Missy absolutely loves cuddles and will happily curl up next to you after a long day of adventures. She’s got a knack for sensing when you need a little extra love and support and is always ready with a comforting nuzzle.
One of Missy’s greatest strengths is her social nature. She gets along famously with other dogs, big and small, and loves to play with her canine friends. Dog park outings are her favorite! This also makes her a fantastic candidate for multi-dog households. Just imagine the fun they’d have together!
Missy is also generally good with children. Her playful personality makes her a great playmate for older kids who understand how to interact respectfully with dogs. She’s patient and tolerant, always happy to engage in a gentle game of fetch or just be a furry friend to lean on.
Because of her energy levels, Missy thrives in a home where she gets plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. A fenced-in yard would be ideal, allowing her to romp and play to her heart’s content. Daily walks, puzzle toys, and training sessions will help keep her happy and well-adjusted.
She’s already mastered basic commands like sit, stay, and come, and she’s eager to learn more. Positive reinforcement training is the key to success with Missy. She responds beautifully to treats and praise, and watching her learn new things is incredibly rewarding.
Missy is in good health and up-to-date on all her vaccinations. She is also spayed and microchipped, giving you peace of mind knowing that she is protected. We’ve also been working with her on leash manners, and she’s making great progress. While she still gets a little excited on walks, she’s learning to walk politely by your side.
If you’re looking for a loyal, energetic, and affectionate companion to share your life with, Missy might just be the perfect match! She’s ready to bring joy, laughter, and a whole lot of love into your home.
